The Adventures of Homeless Girl

Welcome

Posted by: homelessgirl on: September 2, 2008

So you may be wondering this is a very odd name for a blog. But the title truly speaks for itself.

Yes I admit it, I have been homeless since the 18th of May  2007 when I was evicted from my house because of lack of mortgage payments. I have passed birthdays and anniversaries, Christmas and Summer. None of my friends and only a select few know this has happened to me.  I am among a growing populations of people that experiencing this epidemic all over the world.

No I am not a gambling addict and have never touched drugs in my life. In fact by all standards and definitions I would be the last person you would think to be homeless.

During this whole experience I have been accompanied by my dear mother who I would not be able to survive this without.  And in the near future I will explain how I ended up in this situation with her.

I am not looking for any sympathy or pity but merely to show what little control we have in our lives and this type of society we live in . And hopefully to encourage some one somewhere that no matter how low you find yourself in life, you can always stand up again and continue because nothing is impossible.

Much love and hope to you all.

I’m very sorry to hear that you and your Mom are homeless. It’s no place for anyone to be. I’m hopeful this is a short stint in your life’s journey…

Thank you so much it really does mean a lot,.

I hope to one day see this post in a book. I am glad you are willing to share your story.
