Why did you start this blog?
I enjoy writing and engaging with people so I felt that this would be a gateway to reach out to people and encourage hope and debate.
Why Is it Called: The Adventures of Homeless Girl?
Because I am homeless and have chosen to reveal my thoughts, opinions and experiences.
Who Is Homeless Girl?
Homeless Girl is the pseudonym of an anonymous blogger based in England. I am 19 years old and one day hope to not be known as Homeless Girl, but to just be a girl.
Why have you chosen to remain anonymous?
My privacy means a lot to me and to be able to reveal my deepest thoughts and secrets to the world. I need to ensure I am protected and faceless. My family and friends have no idea about this blog and I intend to keep it that way. In due time I will reveal myself.
What do you hope to achieve from this blog?
Nothing really, except helping others. I have no agenda and have other dreams and inspirations outside of blogging. (People can smell those who are doing it for other reasons, I hope not to reek)
What do you believe?
Faith means a lot to me. Please refer to this post for more answers.
How do you intend to get yourself out of this situation?
Well I take each day as it comes. I believe I will not be homeless for much longer and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
How are you able to write everyday if you are homeless?
I have a laptop that was given to me over a year ago by my father and has been indispensable through out this whole time. And I am staying with wonderful people who have granted me access to their wireless internet.
Where are you now?
I am in a safe location with very patient people at the moment. But my situation can change at any time.
Why are you not upset?
I go through bouts of sadness like every one else. I just choose not to dwell on it for too long because I have hope. I have been through depression and did not like it and I hope to never sink that low again. I will from time to time mention things that upset me but I feel I don’t need to depress people as the world is pretty miserable anyway. And more importantly I love to laugh.
I am glad to hear you are in a safe place. We take our home and security for granted. You have opened my eyes. Good luck to you and I agree with you about sadness, I am glad you don’t dwell on it. My mom lived a life filled with tragedy but she never dwelled on it. She just stood back up, dusted off her hands and got to work. Her attitude was refreshing–as yours is.
Greetings Homeless Girl,
Hope the new year is treating you well. I am writing you on behalf of PATH Partners and LA’s Homeless Blog. Our blog, which you can visit at http://www.lahomelessblog.org, is updated daily by Joel John Roberts, CEO of PATH Partners. PATH Partners is a family of agencies dedicated to helping people and communities affected by homelessness and poverty, and our blog serves as a venue wherein people can express their views and engage in discussion about homelessness.
We would like to invite you to be a Guest Columnist on our new blog entitled Homelessness In The City (HITC). Set to launch in late February 2009, HITC will kick-off with a social responsibility ad campaign. Similar to lahomelessblog, the HITC journal will solicit ideas and encourage the exchange of information about homelessness, and how it affects people and their communities throughout US metropolitan cities.
You are one of several Guest Columnists invited to share various issues relating to homelessness. Each individual we’ve chosen provides a unique perspective on the issues surrounding homelessness; therefore, Guest Columnists are a mix of national stakeholders from many viewpoints.
If you agree to participate, we will link an RSS feed from your blog to our site and will list you as an HITC Guest Columnist along with your picture and group affiliation. Once the HITC online journal is launched, we hope you will post a link to our site as well.
Please feel free to visit the HITC site http://www.homelessnessinthecity.org for further details. We look forward to your participation and welcome any questions you might have.
Many thanks in advance,
Kai

Hello Kevin,
My name is Selena Feliciano, and I recently stumbled upon your blog. It truly is a great read that reveals the truth about homelessness in today’s society. I know that you must have many followers, supporting you along your journey.
I am a Deputy Chairman of the organization Invisible Youth Network. This 501c(3) Non-Profit Organization is an expansive online network that provides resources and support for an estimated 1.5 million homeless and at-risk youth. Our mission is carried out through both partner organizations and volunteers who take to the streets to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and at risk youth to improve their quality of life. Our focus reaches past the streets and lends itself to deterrence, research, resources, seminars, training and workshops that are provided to the communities and via the Internet.
Although we do our best in establishing ourselves in social networking websites, it sometimes is not enough to help the millions of homeless and at-risk youth in America. That’s why Invisible Youth Network needs your help. As a popular blogger, any support you can provide can and will further public knowledge of our organization, as we fight to protect and advocate for homeless and at-risk youth in America.
Feel free to learn more about our organization on our website: invisibleyouthnetwork.net
If you have any questions or comments, please email me at selena.feliciano@yahoo.com
I look forward to speaking with you.
Thank You,
Selena Feliciano
Sorry about naming you Kevin! My mind must have wandered off when I started writing!

I meant ‘Homeless Girl’!
I have been homeless. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, except for wealthy people, middleclass people and all those who have never experienced it.
I did meet some who would be classified as homeless, but I wouldn’t call them homeless. They had built themselves private camps. They were loners and wouldn’t tell a soul where they camped, but it was far away from the downtown areas. They enjoyed their seclusion and came into town once a week or less on errands or appointments. One fellow I met in a laundomat.I never saw anyone fold clothes so neatly. He told me,after I pryed him ith some questions, that he has schizophrenia and comes into town once a week, I think, for shots for it at a clinic and does his errands. He was very organized. He has lived outside for several years. He likes his life and I wouldn’t call him “homeless”. He created his home.
Wow.. I was just reading all the comments here.. Great to know that you had great opportunities knocking right on your door steps..
Cheers
